Some of us are daughters and some are mother and daughter.
This relationship can be the most wonderful, loving, accepting and joyful of our relationships.
It can also be the most difficult to navigate.
The Mother- Daughter relationship can be like two tangled balls of wool, one red and one orange. When you pull on the red wool, it can tighten and knot the orange and if you pull on the orange, it can become tied to the red. When one tries to untangle the two balls of wool, it’s often hard to tell the red from the orange and at times they look the same.
Often as mothers and daughters, we feel each others emotions: the anger, fear and pain, the joy, excitement and satisfaction. We can also feel a need to fix the other’s problems and feel angry and powerless when we can’t. The effect of this bond has a wide ranging effect on what we create in our lives.
This weekend is a chance to begin to see which is your thread, what are your own true colours.
You will see how you can unravel safely and respectfully, to enable you to appreciate each other as an individual. By separating the threads you can be free to create your own amazing lives and be free to truly accept the other exactly as they are.
Are you ready to leave the shadow of your mother and step into your own light?
Are you ready to trust your daughter to let her go and stand on her own?
Are you ready to step out and be responsible for your own life and what you create.
This course is a gift to yourself, and to all the women in your family.
