• We will only change bedding and towels at your request.
• Please turn out lights when you leave the room.
• Shut all doors to keep heat in.
• We recycle all cans, paper, bottles, cardboard, plastic. Vegetable matter is composted and used on the garden.

• All our electric comes from renewable sources.
• The house is heated with night storages heaters.

• Water is pumped to the house and stored in two large tanks, we therefore ask you to use water with care, as the system can be stretched when there are large groups.
• The house has its own septic tank and so we ask that only toilet paper is flushed down the toilet. Bags and bins are provided for everything else.

Things you need to know

• No outdoor shoes are worn in the house, and since our beautiful slate floors can be chilly on the feet, we recommend you bring some slippers or indoor shoes.
• We are very sensitive to fire risk, so Rhiwgaeron is entirely a non-smoking house inside. Ash containers are provided on the patio for smokers. We also ask you to refrain from lighting candles or incense in your bedroom; as the fire alarms are very sensitive.
